With it enabled you will see two tabs in the bottom corner of your live preview, one will say main, and the other "denoise/demain" or something similar. The Denoiser helps you lower the samples thus reducing your render times. (add an Octane camera, click the tag, go to enable camera imager, enable octane AI Denoiser, and if you don't want to mess with different render passes you can uncheck "Denoise on completion" and it will denoise your render for you automatically.) You can also look up how to use the AI Denoiser in the octane camera tag/camera imager if you like. Make sure you drop the GI Clamp in the Kernels tab of the settings down to 2 (this reduces fireflies). If it's a well-lit scene like this, 1500 samples should be plenty, if you have some noise I wouldn't go above 2500. Path tracing will always be slower due to the lighting calculations.
